How to Use Messages on Kidsday

This guide will help you easily navigate the restructured messaging section to start conversations with parents, staff, or entire class groups.

Step 1: Accessing Messages

On the left side of the main application menu, locate and click on the "Messages" option.

Step 2: Starting a New Conversation

Once the messages window opens, click on the "Write" button (or the corresponding pencil icon) to start a new chat.

Step 3: Choosing Your Recipient or Group

You now have several options depending on who you want to communicate with:

• Individual Chat with Parents: Click on the search bar and type the child's name. The system will automatically display the parents linked to that child.

• Individual Chat with Colleagues: Search directly by name for the person you want to reach from the school/childcare staff.

• Group Chat with the Class: You can now create a group chat or select the entire class to communicate with all the parents of that class simultaneously.

Tip: Once you have selected your recipient or group, simply type your message or press and hold the microphone icon to send a voice (audio) message.

⚠️ Important: Message Management and Privacy

To maintain full control over your communication, don't forget to visit the Settings section. There you can:

1. Manage Message Schedules: Set the specific hours and days you are available to receive messages.

2. Set Permissions: Control who has the right to send messages.
