Development reports show families how their child is growing. You record observations, then turn them into a report with help from AI. The short video below shows every step.
Step by step
- Open the child's profile and go to the Observations tab. You'll see the statements from the room's observation form, grouped by area of development.
- Click the assessment level that matches what you've observed. kidsday saves it right away, with the date of the last update. Work through every statement the same way.
- To add your own words to an area, click Leave a Note and type your observation.
- Click Generate Reports, choose the Report Type and check the period the report covers.
- Write a conclusion yourself, or click Analyze with AI. kidsday drafts a conclusion from your observations and notes, with simple steps parents can try at home. Read it and change anything you like.
- Check the Preview, then click Save as document to add the report to the child's documents, or Download to get a copy.
What happens next
A moment later, the report appears in the child's Documents. Repeat it each term to show families how their child is growing.
Tip: The statements and the four assessment levels come from your observation forms. You can set them up under Learning › Observation Forms.
